What many tourists don’t realise when visiting Las Vegas is that they’re actually spending the majority of their visit in Paradise! Situated just south of the city of Las Vegas, Paradise is a major suburb of the city that’s home to not only the international airport, but most of the famous Las Vegas Strip. If you travel to Vegas and only stay on the Strip the chances are you may not actually venture into Las Vegas at all, but spend your entire holiday in Paradise!
While Las Vegas itself has its increasingly popular downtown area, Paradise is considered to be the real hub of the Entertainment Capital of the World. For the purpose of this guide, we’ll include the whole of the Las Vegas Strip as part of Paradise. Las Vegas Strip When you think of Las Vegas you generally think of the Strip, one of the world’s most famous roads, Las Vegas Boulevard. The Strip really is quite surreal with its mammoth hotels and over the top architecture, but it’s a place that all travelers should experience at least once in their lives! Visiting numerous hotels may not sound like a lot of fun, but it is on the Strip! Some of the top attractions include the following: Bellagio While not nearly as impressive from the outside as some of its neighbours, Bellagio is one of the top tourist attractions in Paradise because of the amazing water fountains that dance to music at the front of the hotel. Movie fans will also know that the Bellagio featured heavily in the film Ocean’s Eleven. Paris Directly opposite Bellagio is Paris, Las Vegas, which includes a scaled down version of the Eiffel Tower that visitors can ascend for some great views over the Strip. New York New York Brooklyn Bridge and the rest of the New York skyline provide the backdrop to a thrilling roller coaster ride at this Las Vegas Boulevard hotel. MGM Grand Who would have thought you could come to Paradise and visit a Lion Habitat?! The Lion Habitat at the MGM Grand is a popular attraction, as are the white tigers at The Mirage, which is also home to an erupting volcano! |
